Pontiff: Bioethics Needs Natural Law (Zenit News Agency)

VATICAN CITY, FEB. 14, 2010 ( Zenit.org ).- Benedict XVI is affirming that bioethics, with all of the scientific developments it takes into account, needs the principles of natural law so as to uphold human dignity.

UNESCO honors Chinese scientist with Avicenna Prize (Press Trust of India)

Tehran, Dec 21 (MNA) UNESCO has awarded the 2009 Avicenna Prize to leading bioethics scientist Professor Renzong Qiu for his contribution to the field of ethics.

Chinese scientist Qiu Renzong was awarded the 2009 Avicenna Prize for Ethics in Science on Monday by the Paris-based United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
